About Me

aa is a passionate craftivist, blending the power of art, crafting and activism to create meaningful change. Inspired by the legacies of visionaries like Octavia Butler and Gloria Anzaldua, aa’s work centers social justice, nature, and liberation for marginalized communities, with a special focus on Black, Indigenous, and queer voices. Through crafting, aa empowers people to engage in creative expression as a form of healing and resistance.

As a community herbalist and educator, aa incorporates decolonial and ancestral perspectives, honoring Afro Latinx, Black, Indigenous, Queer traditions and curanderismo. Their craftivist journey also embraces inclusivity, holding space by centering non-binary and trans identities and creating an atmosphere where all feel seen and celebrated.
